HOW IS SUBSCRIPTION BASED PLATFORM CHANGING THE WORLD
Only Fans, Onlyfanz, Only flans... all these names going around, creators popping on all social platform promoting their accounts. What is this about? What is Only Fans?
I have asked myself the same question when I first heard the name. I have just started my project Sexual Mastery, educational platform for men and couples alike to learn everything about sex, intimacy and relationships. I have started writing courses on how to be Better in Bed and as I was cruising around the internet, researching what other people are up to, I heard about Onlyfans.
SO WHAT IS ACTUALLY ONLY FANS?
OnlyFans is a "subscription site that enables content creators to monetize their influence," according to the site itself. It allows content creators to receive money directly from their fans on a monthly basis as well as one-on-one tips and the pay-per-view (PPV) feature. It was founded in 2016 by Timothy Stokely and the site now has over 50 million registered users and around 1M creators.
The initial idea was to create a platform for performers to provide clips and photos to followers for a monthly subscription fee. It was a great concept to embrace because musicians were facing a different reality since platforms like Spotify took off.
However, the site developed its own unique customer base. Not only it is used by artists, musicians and other performers, but Only Fans drew in also chefs, fitness trainers, celebrities, influencers and a huge amount of sex workers.
COVID BOOM
The platform started to expand quickly in 2020, when the whole world went to lockdown. Suddenly the ideas of earning passive income, having a side hustle, working from home, making money online - all had a completely new meaning. What was rather a choice became an absolute necessity and the only way to earn money for millions of people.
Only Fans became a popular platform for professional adult content creators, but many amateurs found it easy to celebrate success as well. And the message is spreading quickly - complete beginners earning couple of thousands of dollars within a week, tens of thousands within few months. It is simple enough for anyone to jump on and create their own content.
THE TIME IS NOW
I have been on OnlyFans for a year now. The growth has been unbelievable. I went from about $400 in my first month to regular 5 figure months. Don't get me wrong, it is a hard work. But if you are someone who genuinely enjoys creating content and sharing your passion, why would you not join?

And that is honestly what I love about OnlyFans, the opportunity to normalise sex again. Even if it is just posting a topless picture. There are restrictions on your profile picture and on your banner as that is visible by public. However, the moment someone enters your account, anything is allowed. What a blessing!
I believe that if we are to overcome our shame, inhibitions, if we are to learn how to have a healthy approach to sexuality - we need to be able to talk about it, to see others do it, to see what is normal, to understand the ins and outs of it. And OnlyFans allows us to do just that.
